  1. Mr. Wayne Johnson contacted me via email today, mirrored to the above listed.
Red flags went up, I asked for full contact information once I received this it took all of 2 seconds to bring up this page on him.

Thank you kindly, Lisa Foresteiere Tailored Interiors

  2. Coco Walter says:

Wayne contacted me today 8/10/11, with the same exact info that’s on this page. It wasn’t till I got home and told my husband that we got online and checked this guy out.
    To bad, Wayne.

  3. R Steinmeier says:

    Why would someone do this?

It sounded fishy to me, because the phone number with a Seattle area code did not mesh with the address given at 207 Casa Linda Drive (we don’t have street names in Spanish in Seattle, we just don’t.) I received this 8/9/2011:

    Good day,
we require to know if you can supply us with some curtains/draperies.Kindly get back to us with the types, sizes or models of curtains/draperies that you deal in as well as well as pricing and advise if you accept credit card payment.Wish you all the best in business and we’ll be looking forward to your response soon.

PS : Let us know if you have other fabric accessories as well.

    best regards

    Wayne Johnson

  4. Debra G. says:

I have gotten numerous emails from Wayne Johnson as well – wanting custom draperies for the bogus New Mission Foundation Center. Wayne claims to be in Woodland CA. When I called his phone number, I got a very fast busy signal. When I emailed him back asking him to call me, he said he would prefer to correspond by email.
He has taken a whole lot of my time and I’m not sure why. Glad I looked him up though, cause I was pretty suspicious. Supposedly he is working on a job in Singapore.

  5. Laura Davis says:

We have also received the same emails as above, wanting a quote on draperies. Wayne said he needed 100 yds of a Robert Allen fabric. Today in an email he wants us to proceed with a formal quote. He has been wasting our time for 2 weeks.

So glad I googled his name.

  6. Angela says:

I too have been receiving mails from this man re draperies to be shipped to Singapore. Sounds fishy, he is in Tampa, foundation is in Michigan, shipping to Singapore and I have an interior design business in Stuart, FL. Why contact me? Also not enough questions about actual design and fabric, just price. Oh, and he wants custom drapes ready to be shipped in a week (maybe before the deposit check clears?) It just does not sound right, so I stopped wasting my time and today decided to check him out on the internet. Glad I did not waste any more time.

  7. James says:

    We are a fastener distributor.
We too received the following “inquiry” from “Wayne Johnson”:

    “Good day.

We require to know if you can supply some industrial materials for us. We’ll like to know the types of industrial materials you do have in your outfit so that we can make a choice, and also advise if you accept credit card as a form of payment, wish you all the best in business and we’ll be looking forward on hearing from you soon.

    best regards

    Wayne Johnson”

We did not respond. I hope posting this helps others to not get taken by these shysters…

  8. Debbie says:

He is using a different name and has branched out into model ship parts.
I see the Springfield address and one phone # used in earlier requests.
His original request was about construction materials.

  9. Hugo says:

‘Wayne’ contacted us looking for industrial components.
He required pricing on 100 units of various cable plugs once asked for further information.
When asked for a shipping address:

“Thanks a lot, I’ll like you to use the details below and prepare a formal quote for us so that we can proceed on from there :

    Limon Foundation Group,Inc. (newly established)

    389 Edgeware Road

Not sure if you’re familiar with overseas shipment though, do you have them in stock for immediate shipment? How long have you been in business?”

We stated that we would only ship once we have received cleared funds into our bank account.
Unsurprisingly, he replied that he can only pay by credit card.

  11. Amy says:

The name being used now is Thomas Lambert. The new line is there is a new branch in China. All is as listed in the others above. When we asked for payment up front we were told that the credit card only had a $3500 limit on it and he started to yell at us when we asked what type of card it was.

  12. Mister Glen says:

This page was the first result in an internet search.

  13. Jit says:

I had totally feototgrn my ad. placed on Craigslist a month ago, but was reminded when I got a reply this morning. I recognized the red flags at once: poor English, unnecessary use of caps, irregular spacing….I had almost fallen prey to one last year, and learnt much since then. Here is his text:Hello tutor, Are you available to tutor my son he is 15yrs,name Pat?Get back to me with the details requested so that we can proceed from there asap. I’ve arranged with a caregiver in USA that my child is coming to stay with him for his period of tutoring and he had agreed with me. I want you to get back to me with following details: 1)your present residence address and tel # 2)total cost of tutoring for 2 months (1 hour per day 3 days /week) 3)your years of teaching experience. Payment via cashier’s check, looking forward to hearing from you soonest. Regards to you and your family God Bless Regards,MY REPLYYes, and I suppose you will send me a cashiers check so I can send money to his caregiver etc etc etc. My question is this:Why don’t you try a new scam or get the hell a job for yourself? If you do not improve your pitiful English level, everyone can find you out easily. Face it – you are not good at this. I don’t know where you are from, but there must be something else for folk to do out there than steal! Get a life!

  14. Jay Johnstone says:

    Thanks for the warning…..
Here’s another one, hitting on the print industry…. bogus telephone number and different name.
    Regards Jay

That’s fine, I’ll like you to use the details below and prepare a formal quote for us so we can proceed on from there :

    389 Edgeware Road
    London NW26LH

    P : 0703-185-6535

    F :0703-185-6535

We’re working on a commercial project in Brazil which is where the printing job is going to and we’ll be recommending you with a freight company for the pick up at your location. Not sure if you’re familiar with overseas shipment though. How soon can you finish this job? How long have you been in business?

    Thomas

  15. Marco Rigali says:

I have had exactly the same correspondence as Jay. I became suspicious when I let him know that the shipping costs were more than the print job and he was still interested. He actually phoned me today and when I asked him why he isn’t getting the job produced in Brazil he said that he had quality issues over there. Considering the job was a black on white A5 flyer which is just about as simple as it gets then I was convinced this was a scam. Hail the God of Google. A quick search and my suspicions were confirmed.
He e-mailed his credit card details to me earlier and I replied to him stating that I couldn’t proceed with the job. He replied with one word – “Understood”
I have enough crap to deal with without wasting time on fools like him.

  16. Ed says:

He’s still at it. We tracked him down to Ghana. Our system leaves their TCPIP number and the service provider. Also used the idea of buying industrial goods (which we don’t do) and using an extremely expensive international courier service. The address he left was an empty block of land.
He also insisted on paying with credit card over the phone. This is where our alarm bells went off. If the card is stolen, we have to give the money back. I assume the courier was his own ‘business’ and he would pocket that money.

  17. Daniel Brady says:

I got the same scam email from Walter Gibson (wgibson900@gmail.com)

  18. Jay Brook says:

    AAAAAAAaaaand he’s at it again.

I just sent him a lovely email advising him of his terrible spelling and grammar considering ‘his English name and NSW location in Australia’.
I also noted to him that international freighting companies do not usually have windows live email addresses and that delivery from Western Australia to Brazil does not usually originate from Bangladesh.

Again using the Walter Gibson email address, he’s a sneaky little bugger, trying to weedle $5000 AUD of stock from us that NEVER sells in the quantity he wanted.

My colleague caught on to this scam well before I had worked it out myself, but he told me to play it out until I believed hes a phoney baloney. I got as far as to tell him we do not pay for shipping on be half of our customers when it comes to international delivery and he made up some story about being in a meeting and still wanting me to organize it. – That was enough for me to decide we were wasting our time with this guy.

Be careful out there peoples, someone is bound to have a little too much good will and let this scammy scammer get the better of them.

    Have a nice day all,

    Jay
